Summer might be halfway over, but that means there’s still about a month and a half left before the kids go back to school. You might as well make the most of that time. If you’ve only ever skated at public ice rinks, you may have some questions about what entails renting your own portable ice rink. We’re here to answer those most burning questions.

Q: Are portable ice rinks available all year long, even in the summer?

A: Yes, they are! That is, if you rent a portable ice rink through All Years Sports Galaxy. As our name suggests, we’ve helped our clients throw amazing soirees throughout the year with our portable ice rink and roller rink rentals.

Q: Won’t the ice melt during the summer?

A: No, and that’s for two reasons. The first is that all ice rink rental events through All Year Sports Galaxy must be held indoors. Also, we use what’s called synthetic ice for our ice rinks. This is made of a type of durable, malleable plastic that includes recycled, non-toxic acrylic and engineered polymers for a realistic look and feel.

Q: Do I have to rent a space out myself?

A: Yes, you will have to provide the space in which the portable ice rink will be assembled.

Q: Do I have to take care of assembly?

A: No! Our All Year Sports Galaxy staff will do all installation and assembly work. This includes setting up the ice rink, adding decorations, installing music systems/stage lights/snow machines/fog machines, setting up the ice sharpening machine and rental station, and erecting the fencing, rubber floors, benches, and changing areas.

Q: What size ice rink do I need?

A: That depends on how many guests will attend your summer party. If it’s eight to 10 people, we recommend rinks that are between 16×16 and 20×16. If you have up to 20 guests, you’ll need a 20×32 rink with 40 rental skates available.
